As a university gliding club we hold several memberships at Buckminster Gliding Club, based at Saltby Airfield.
Each weekend we arrange trips out to the airfield. Gliding is a team sport, most people at the club are there voluntarily so we stay for the day and all help to get the gliders flying.
You will learn to fly with an instructor in a 2 seater glider with dual controls. Once you have learnt to fly you will be able to progress to a single seater glider.
As well as flying at our own club we also visit other gliding clubs and meet up with the other university clubs.
